In a Press Release edited on Friday, the Hungarian Social Forum-Social Roundtable has expressed his concern and energical protest against the decision of the ruling centre-right coalition to send new troops to Afghanistan. Trying to win the public opinion, the government of Budapest has argued, that the increase of the hungarian military presence was due to the withdrawal of the troops of other NATO allied from Afghanistan. HSF SR has immediately demanded to make public the agreement obligeing Hungary to replace american and other withdrawn soldiers from Central Asia. Who did contract such an agreement? How can happen that while other NATO countries are decreasing their troops, and Netherlands is totally withdrawing them, Hungary is excalating his military presence? Hungarian electors are waiting for answers to these questions, because they did not give authorisation to anybody to participate at the war – is written in the text, which denys any interest of Hungary for the War in Afghanistan. At the contrary, Hungary has interest for the Peace, the political solution and the re-establishing of the Self-Determination of the afghan people. The HSF SR urged withdrawal of the hungarian troops would mean more money for the social home building program, the promised creation of one million jobs and the consolidation of the social assurance system – text is writing. At the same time it would save our soldiers life and offer more security to the country. The new government has promised to reduce the pumping-out of the resources and to enlarge the national margin. The war in Afghanistan and our participation at it are in contradiction with the announced goals – HSF SR told.+++
