The Hungarian Social Forum SR has offered his social support to the hungarian government with the aim to give up the hungarian military participation to the War in Afghanistan – was announced in an unprecedented Social Roundtable on military questions held in Budapest on Friday with the participation of twenty social organisations, military and national security experts and the representative of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry Security Policy and Non-Proliferation Department. HSF has invited the government to present at the next NATO Summit in Lisbon his intention to give priority to the political solution instead of the military, and his interest for the re-establishment of the National Sovreignity and the Self-determination of Afghanistan. HSF SR has proposed to the government to announce to the NATO allied his intention to host an International Roundtable aimed to choose the political and economical tools necessary to grant the Independence and the development of the Asian country. The government representative has rejected the idea of the immediate withdrawal of the hungarian troops from Afghanistan, but he told, that „the government agreed in a most quick as possible withdrawal” from there. „The long run stablization is not a military task” – he told. HSF SR is ready to enter into conversations with the government for help it to revise his Afghanistan Strategy and to give priority to the peaceful solution  - social movement organizer told at the conference.+++
